W. Barden Biomass Ltd operates one of the largest chipping machines in Cumbria. This means we can take a whole variety of waste wood to produce a high quality wood chip.

There is a science to producing high quality wood chip with a moisture content of less than 35% and a consistent size of chip. If produced without a screened chipper long pieces of wood will jam the feed system on your boiler.

We use a Heizohack HM-10-500 which is a screened chipper that can take wood up to 22 inches in diameter. We produce chip to G30, G50 up to G75 standards and whatever sizes you require in between.

The chipper can be hired for on-site chipping when you are able to source your own timber.

We offer our customers a contract guaranteeing them the supply of high quality wood chip, at no more than 35% moisture content, for however long they wish. Wherever possible we try to utilise wood from local sustainable sources.
